Leodocus
Argonaut who joined Jason's expedition to Colchis aboard the legendary ship Argo
The Legend of Leodocus
Leodocus was a Greek hero who joined the Argonaut expedition to retrieve the Golden Fleece from Colchis. He was among the warriors who gathered at the port of Iolcus in Thessaly when Jason put out the call for brave men to sail with him on the most daring voyage of the age. Leodocus proved himself a dependable crew member during the many trials the Argonauts faced, from navigating treacherous waters to confronting hostile peoples along the route. The voyage took the crew through the Clashing Rocks, past the land of the Amazons, and into the distant realm of King Aeetes. Leodocus served alongside legendary heroes like Heracles, Orpheus, and the Dioscuri, demonstrating that he was considered worthy of such company by his peers.
