Eurydamas
Argonaut from the shores of Lake Xynias who sailed with Jason to Colchis
The Legend of Eurydamas
Eurydamas was a Greek hero who joined the crew of the Argo for the quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece from Colchis. He came from the region around Lake Xynias in Thessaly and was the son of Ctimenus. Eurydamas was among the many brave warriors who answered Jason's call to assemble at Iolcus for the greatest maritime expedition of the heroic age. He served as a dependable member of the crew throughout the voyage, rowing alongside the other heroes through dangerous waters and hostile territories. Though not among the most prominent Argonauts, Eurydamas played his part in the collective effort that made the expedition successful. The Argonaut roster represents the cream of Greek heroism, and his inclusion marks him as a warrior of considerable reputation in his homeland.
