The Legend of Acamas

Acamas was a son of the Trojan elder Antenor and his wife Theano.‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌ He was among the bravest of the Trojan allies, fighting alongside his brother Archelochus and their kinsmen. In Homer's Iliad, Acamas is a prominent warrior who leads the Dardanian contingent. He killed several Greek fighters during the fierce battles around the ships. The name Acamas also belongs to a son of Theseus who went to Troy as part of the Greek force to recover his grandmother Aethra. The Trojan Acamas fell in battle during the prolonged fighting, one of many noble sons of Antenor who gave their lives defending their city.
