Chrysaor
creatureChrysaor was a giant with a golden sword who sprang from Medusa's blood alongside Pegasus — father of the three-bodied Geryon.
The Myth
When Perseus beheaded Medusa, two beings emerged: the winged Pegasus and the golden-sworded Chrysaor. While Pegasus flew to the gods, Chrysaor married the Oceanid Callirrhoe and fathered Geryon, the three-bodied giant of the far west. Chrysaor is one of Greek myth's most enigmatic figures — born spectacularly, mentioned rarely, his golden sword unexplained.
